I have worked in the Redwood City area for 3 years now and have had a chance to find some really good lunch places. Here they are. If anyone has any other favorites, I'd love to hear about them. Mexican Amelia's on Broadway. Great Pupusas and everything else. They have this good fruit drink called Fesco de Ensalada. Vietnamese Thans on middlefield and 5th approximately. Great claypot catfish and Vietnamese style coffee (it drip brews at the table while you eat. Served with lots of sweetened condensed milk over ice) Chinese Ambassador on 5th avenue. It's not a fine restaurant or anything, but the Singapore and Hong Kong style fried rice noodles are cheap, plentiful, and really really good!!!! Can't find any as good anywhere else. Diner/Deli Grub Max's Deli & Bakery on El Camino in Sequoia Station. Really good food and lots of it. A little expensive, but you get wha you pay for. Bring a stomach plunger if you expect to eat desert. And as a side note, the best onion rings I've ever had were at Marin Brewing Company in Larkspur up in Marin. Wow... I welcome email of any other good places for lunch...
