Been there a couple of times now -- both times, spectacular food, very competent service, and more-reasonable-than-usual prices. The room is also very beautifully decorated and quiet, and there's often a pleasant piano player in the background. I'd recommend it very highly.

Last time I was there, to give you a sense, I had a truly outstanding dungeness crab tarte-tatin with roasted baby turnips and vanilla bean sauce; followed by a great squab with pomegranate glaze and then a roast pork loin with sweet potato and sauteed spinach. My wife had a cream of celery soup -- I know, sounds dull, but it was among the best soups I've tasted -- and chilean sea bass wrapped in cabbage with a very nicely done caramelized onion and potato broth. Desserts have been a little less exciting, though.

Best,
Andy Perrin
