Can anyone tell me the name of this new place? Any first or second hand information about the food, atmosphere, etc. would be appreciated as well.< The restaurant is called Luna Piena. I was recently on jury duty in that part of town, so walked by a couple times. Never got a chance to lunch there (short trial!). The lunch menu appears to be quite different from dinner. Lunch is considerably less expensive, a shorter menu, and served from a steam table. From the dinner menu, I got the impression they dress the place up a bit at night, and I would expect they offer table service. The food seems to be sort of upscale California style food -- interesting combinations of fresh ingredients, a little pricey. Lunch appeared to be more Italian style. (Perhaps the dinner menu also has Italian influences -- I don't recall.) Anyway, I can't say I really examined the place very carefully. Another juror on the case (who happens to be studying to be a chef) had lunch there and said it was good. She didn't seem especially enthusiastic. Let us know if you try it!
