It's a very elegant space, quite busy, and has been well reviewed. The one time I ate there I was not impressed. We had decided to eat tapas at the bar. Maybe I was not in the best frame of mind, because the tapas menu seemed boring and not terribly cohesive. We went ahead and ordered from it anyway, and were quite dissapointed. The food was OK, but no interesting treatments, and not the freshest ingredients. There are many better tapas places around (I'm still mourning the passing of Lucio's on Telegraph). Even before we ordered, I had decided that the main menu looked much more interesting, and I should go back to try it. I still intend to, but have not got round to it yet. The other new place on College is Nava, where Goucho's used to be. I have eaten there three times, and have had very good food on each occasion. It claims to be SouthWest cooking, but it seems an eclectic mixture to me. Innovative and tasty food served in a friendly environment.

New Italian restaurant on College?
>How's the new Italian restaurant on College Ave. Garibaldi's? If so, it's not bad. About the same as the mother church in San Francisco. However, neither is as good or interesting as Garibaldi Cafe at the foot of Potrero Hill which was started by the owners of the others, but sold.
