Spark is strictly Japanese, ditto for Suruki on 4th in downtown SM. Takahashi is Hawaiian and doesn't even qualify as being Japanese. Asian/Chinese would be more like Marina in Foster City/San Mateo which I think is on Delaware near Hillsdale.

There are 3 others in the area, one in Redwood City on Middlefield, one in SSF just north of SFO Airport and one in San Bruno just north of Tanforan.

One of my favorites, mainly because of the buffet. There are quite a few decent Chinese restaurants in the area.

The view is great. And the building is interesting.

There's also Barley and Hopps, but I think the beer is better than the food there.

Drive up to Burlingame and visit Jil's Patisserie at 1849 El
Camino. It's in the Burlingame Plaza with the Long's and across the street from a Lucky supermarket. They make fantastic desserts.

Their phone number is 650 697-6148.
