Hi Eileen, I was taken for a romantic dinner at Fresh Cream in Monterey (French) last November--it was beautiful, from setting to food to service. The crispy-skin duck with currant sauce that I had was to die for; the wine list is very good, and they attend to your every need without being obtrusively formal.
