They serve clam chowder, assorted fish dishes, as well as good sized steaks. It's right down the street from the Aquiarium. -Jodi M.

I would appreciate it if someone could recommend : the best moderately priced seafood restaurant in Monterey. Thank you. in case you're north of Monterey: Note: These are restaurants I have gone to and enjoy 1) Zuniga's - Airport Blvd - Mexican (can accomodate children) one of the best Mexican restaurants around (my husband compares all chili verde against theirs) 2) Rosa's - Freedom Blvd (by the new K-Mart) - Mexican - made over drive-in some of the best roasted chicken you can find - salsa's ranging from mild to fireball - original in Santa Cruz 3) Jalisco's - Main St - Mexican - great fajitas (even camarons and combination steak/chicken/camaron) 4) Cilantro's - Main St - Mexican - good food - original in Santa Cruz - great chicken taco salad 5) Green Valley Grill - Green Valley Rd off Main (152) - California Cuisine - good wine list - interesting food combinations and presentations 6) Luigi's - Main St - Italian - very casual - great pizza, all you can eat spagetti night (Wednesdays), children welcome - used to be in Salinas - homemade sausages 7) Lorene's Drying Shed - Main St - (across from Luigi's) - great steaks - nightly specials - steamed clams - casual 8) Nob Hill Shopping Center (also called Watsonville Square/Center) - Main St - several restaurants, names fail me - and a great bagelry one Chinese in far corner (possibly golden palace) good chinese food; two Japanese at opposite end - one traditional with sushi and tatama <sp?> rooms or regualr tables; one Japanese/French great salad combinations, etc 9) also a variety of chain places like Mountain Mikes, Round Table, Sizzler (kiddy-korner from Watsonville Square) - there's a new Japanese restaurant in there too, but I haven't had a chance to try it yet 10) Also a variety of other Mexican, Chinese, etc restaurants throughout the city
