Ate at St. Orres this January. The food was good, but not outstanding, and therefore a little overpriced. On the other hand, the decor is unique, the service quite good, and the wine list features local wineries. As soon as my income doubles I'll go there again ;

St Orre's is delightful but they do something strange with their salads. They add red hots and pop corn! I don't know why. But they do. Other than that, I have a high regard for the entire dining experience here. Rooms at St. Orre's are beautiful.

As you travel north and reach the town of Elk, before the Navarro River, there is a small restaurant called The Road House. When I was last there (two years ago), it was an undiscovered sleeper! I understand that it is still quite worthwhile.

The Little River Inn serves nice meals. There was another restaurant in a converted gas station in Little River that was very good, but it's actually been 15 years since I ate there... so I don't know if it still exists....

Dunno about these two but Cafe Beaujolais is very good (RESERVATIONS ESSENTIAL).

Personally we prefer the Old Milano down the road from St. Orres.

I'll second that, though I haven't been there in 2 years. And don't go too late in the evening -- they'll be out of many things (but what they still have will be wonderful).
