Just wanted to say a few kind words about Mediterranean Wraps on California Ave. in Palo Alto. Nothing fancy. Just a counter where you can get schwarmas, falafels, baba ganoush and such. Wide variety of bottled drinks. Baklava and other mediterranean desserts. Pick things up at the counter and take it to go or eat at one of the few tables inside or the few on the sidewalk when the weather is nice. Everything is well-prepared. Prices are very reasonable. The service is more than just good --- everyone is very friendly and seems genuinely concerned that you have a good dining experience, coming around checking if you need more pita or whatever. And they take cleanliness seriously. Give it a try. These people are obviously working very hard to, if I may be cliched, get a slice of the American dream. I like seeing them succeed.
