The Hitching Post in Casmalia, California (Central Coast area) has the best steak; part of the secret is, I think, BBQing the meat over aged oak wood.

However, tops on my list of best steaks is the Great American Land and Cattle Company, El Paso Texas. ============================================================================ | ________ | | Cory Cox ([email removed]) |_\/\/\/\/_| | Intel Software Focus Group \/\/\/ | Hillsboro, Oregon \/\/ Sir Hoopalot | --Will program for food ============================================================================
The absolute best steaks in the entire universe (so far) can be found at Harry Caray's Restaurant on Kinzie St. in Chicago - the first street north of the Chicago River. And they do a terrific pork chop, as well. Best wait staff, too. And, for those who care about these things, the bar is the length of the distance between Home Plate and the Pitcher's Mound (60'6") in Wrigley Field. The meal is worth every penny and then some!
