I would suggest that you take a stroll down Old Broadway (branches off Broadway from Maple to Arquella). There is a surprising number of selections in one small area, and numerous cuisines to choose from -- 20/30 (2030 Broadway) has been highly recommended.

Try City Pub, near the train station in RWC, about a mile from the Whipple exit (call the place for directions and the exact location; I forget the name of the street it's on). It's an inexpensive yet good quality restaurant/cafe that has a friendly atmosphere. Seating at lunchtime is both indoors and out. My recommendation is to try the crab cake sandwich.

Istanbul/Cafe Figaro has some good Turkish food. They have 2 vegetarian dishes that are very good, plus all their appetizers are meatless (as are most of their soups). And they have Italian for those who don't want Turkish.

It's at 2639 Broadway in RC (just east of El Camino). Joan
