I like the place. When I went there, about six months ago, they didn't have valet parking, which was fine with me. I can park my own car :-) . I was dressed in "nice" jeans, running shoes, and a dress shirt. I didn't feel out of place. I had the Ahi Tuna, done "rare". It was truly wonderful. Very tender. I cut it with a butter knife. I've enjoyed the desserts there very much. Prices are in-line with other upscale restaurants. Sometimes they even have a 2-for-1 offer in the San Jose Merc Eye section which comes out with the Friday edition. Or you might find a coupon for them in the Entertainment '97 book.

When I've gone there, which was around the usual dinner hour on a weekend, it wasn't crowded, and there was ample parking. I hate hassling with crowds and parking when I want to dine at someplace nice.
