The Palace BBQ.
I ate there last evening ( had missed lunch too 8{) ) They have a $7.99 lunch buffet which I've never tried. Their dinner runs to something over $17.00 and while it is expensive, by comparison with other all you can eat Asian places its not all that dear. They have the real heavy duty iron grills and their selection of grillables is nice.

Marinate Beef
Marinated Pork
Long Ribs ( the kind you unroll )
Short Ribs
Teriyaki Chicken
Tripe
Intestines ( Yummmmmmm )
Squid
Shrimp
Octopi

plus the usual Korean sidedishes and some very nice mussels currently. Your setup includes a small pile of lettuce for rolling grilled stuff plus bean paste to smear wherever seems appropriate Oh, and the price includes a softdrink ( plus maybe some other things which I'm usually too full to worry about ). Their clientele ranges from teenagers on up to crowds of biz droids in assorted flavours ( Korean, Chinese, Indian, Anglo, etc ), families, and everybody seems to get the same friendly ( for Koreans anyhow ) service. I would certainly recommend it. As to comparisons with SFO, can't help there, but in comparison with the Cal Buffet @ Sunnyvale/Saratoga & Remington, or the Korean BBQ on ( what the heck does Stevens Creek become there just over the highway ) a few blocks down from Felafel's ( drool ) its a superior act.

The Korean BBQ on San Carlos (what Stevens Creek turns into east of 880) is called Korea Buffet and has a sister branch (or vice versa) on Geary St. in San Francisco (in the avenues: 30th or beyond).

Korea Buffet in San Jose is better than the one in SF--mostly because of atmosphere (SF-real dank and dark and greasy feeling. SJ-well lit, clean looking, good ventilation). The food selections are the same in both.

I've always found it to be good but have not tried the Palace BBQ yet. Dinners at Korea Buffet are $14.95 or $15.95 (I can't remember). It tends to fill up later (8pm and on) on Fridays and Saturdays.
