Iberia is one of the more expensive restaurants in the area. As I recall, the paella (served for 2 or more people) is around $25/head. With appetizers (which we love there) & a good wine & dessert, you could easily push $200 for 2 people.Asya K. wrote: >Up in downtown San Mateo there is a decent Spanish restaurant, >and they have pretty nice paella. I agree it is pretty good, although the paella isn't in the class of Iberia's. The atmosphere at Tazza is much more casual, though, as are the prices, so it could be a win. This place serves Argentinian style dishes in their tapas menu, so I'm guessing they are Argentinian... that or just have an interest in the food, I suppose.

Would really appreciate any recommendations. Up in downtown San Mateo there is a decent Spanish restaurant, and they have pretty nice paella. We finally went there a couple of weeks ago, and really enjoyed the meal. It's called Tazza, it's on S. B Street, between 3rd and 4th.
