Just a brief note here to recommend Hsi-Nan in San Mateo. From what I understand, Chef Louie has been around for years. You Little Garden fans should know that Tom, who runs Little Garden, was Louie's student. Anyway, the Hot Braised Beef Wonton Soup is a must, as is the Lychee Pork. Sorry I don't recall the precise names here, but he also serves wonderful spicy string beans, and hot & spicy wontons.

(You can't tell I like the spicy stuff, can you? 8-))

Hsi-Nan is located just east of El Camino Real on 25th Av. in San Mateo, on the north side of the street.

Good Eating!
