Have your friend take you to Little Saigon (in the Garden Grove area). Go to a "pho" restaurant for some (what else?) pho (Vietnamese beef noodle soup - a unique culinary experience). Go to some Vietnamese bakeries for great baked goods and really weird (but mostly good) Vietnamese delicacies. Try one of the Vietnamese restaurants for wonderful food. One of my favorite dishes is Bun Thit Nuong which is a noodle salad with grilled meat or shrimp. Kate

Anaheim is pretty much a wasteland unless you enjoy chain food with hordes of tourists. For great Italian, try Mulberry Street in Fullerton, on Wilshire. It's about a 10 minute drive from Disneyland.
