There are no fine dining establishments in Evergreen, but we have found a few places to get a bite to eat:
--Chinese:
Golden Buddha recently reopened after approx. a two years rebuilding
after destroyed by fire. Still pretty good. They make their Mongolian Beef with jalipenos instead of the dried red peppers. An interesting alternative.
In a small strip on the south side of Aborn just off White/San Felipe Rd.
Pacific Seafood ? in the location that was formerly a Colonel Lee's
Mongolian Bar-B-Que, at Capitol Xway and McGlothlin. Pretty good. A little beyond Evergreen boundary.
Forgot the name--- our former standby during the Golden Buddha reconstruction
on the northeast corner of Tully and King.
--Mexican (sort of)
Mexico Lindo -- occupying the location that was built for a Pedro's in a
strip (but a separate building) at Capitol Xway and King/Silver Creek. They claim to use 100% vegetable oil in their cooking. Does this mean no lard?
Trine's #5 or 6 in a strip near the 7-11 at Quimby and White.
--Indian
I`ve only tried the place in the same strip at Trine's (see above) and it
was pretty good. Don't know the name.
--General
Sizzler on Capitol Xway north of Aborn. I like their salad bar.
Baker's Square on Capitol south or Aborn. I'm not impressed, but everyone
in my wife's family loves it.
--Steak
The closest place for a good piece of meat (especially prime rib) is the
Drying Shed on (I think) McKee, east of White near the Grand Auto, also in a strip. Not in Evergreen, but not too far away.
There are a few others, email me directly and I'll give you more info when I find the names, etc.
