Dim Sum in SF?

On Clement Street: Lee Hou, north side of Clement around 4th Avenue (sometimes the servers have a bit of an anti-roundeye attitude, but it adds to the charm, and the quality of the food makes up for it). For carry out dim sum: Good Luck (that's the name of the place, not a statement of dismissal), north side of Clement at around 7th Avenue. Various holes-in-the-wall along Clement have various Good Things: the place *next to* New On Sang Chicken (near 7th Ave) has very good steamed veggie buns, and the Hong Kong Something-or-Other (also near 7th Ave) has these fried squares of radish and something chewy that are tasty.

Golden Dragon ( Washington uphill from Grant )
The usual stuff but reasonably good quality and the Chicken Buns
are very good ( IMHO anyhow ).NNTP-Posting-Date: Mon, 18 Jan 1999 18:55:41 PDT Organization: SBC Internet Services Xref: alexander.INS.CWRU.Edu ba.food:35804 Hang Ah Teaa Room on Waverly Pl. near the Stockton St. Tunnel

Yes indeed, but you order from the menu there and I prefer
Hong Kong "a la cart" style ( unless things have changed )
The Hang Ah was the first restaurant I ever ate at in San
Francisco and I've been back a number of times since.NNTP-Posting-Date: Tue, 19 Jan 1999 07:56:32 PDT Organization: SBC Internet Services Xref: alexander.INS.CWRU.Edu ba.food:35806 The times that I have been to Hang Ah I have simply requested that the tray be brought to my table. There is another place whose name does not come to me. It is on one of the streets north of Sacramento (maybe Clay or Jackson) between Montgomery and Kearney
Imperial Seafood Restaurant on San Bruno Ave, off 101. Outside Chinatown and the Richmond in another growing Chinese community in SF.
