I would like to make a strong recommendation for Robin's in Cambria, California. This is a tourist town where so often the food is not the best and overly priced. Imagine our surprise when we ate at Robins. I had a fettucine w/red peppers, mushrooms and gorgonzola sauce. My SO had a Sri Lankan chicken curry w/whole chicken pieces marinated in coconut milk and cooked with lemon grass and cardomon w/ mango chutney and yoghurt and mint chutney. For dessert there was apple pie, pecan pie and tiramisu (sp?) On the menu there were many other delicious looking INNOVATIVE (my definition of a good restaurant - if they can carry it off) dishes. They were presented very nicely with nasturtiums with the dessert. AND the prices were excellent. All under $15 for the main and under $10 for pastas. I highly recommend this restaurant and wish I lived closer to try it again. MJ

This is a tourist town where so often the food is not the best One of the best meals I've ever had was at Ian's in Cambria. Definitely five stars in the Mommadillo Guide. It's fairly expensive, but everything was first rate. And their desserts....a chocoholic's fantasy. Dillo

It's fairly expensive, but One of the best meals I have ever had in a strange town based on a recommend- ation by an inkeeper was at Ian's in Cambria. After dinner, ask the way to Dr. Tinkerpaw's house, and see the other end of the Cambria scale, just as wonderful in its own way. And more unique!
