 Cheap and wonderful in Santa Barbara is La Superrica.  There's also a
 pretty fair fish taco place whose name escapes me at the moment.

Also in Santa Barbara/Montecito is the Stone House Restaurant - at the San Ysidro Ranch...Expensive, but great food in a beautiful setting.
