These have probably already been suggested before but I will risk redundancy by saying them again.

Three of the best breakfast spots on the SF Peninsula are these IMHO:

1. First Watch in San Mateo. They make the most awesome omlettes and pancakes. apple, cinnamon<sp?>, oatmeal, wheat germ, etc... and they take up the whole of a dinner plate, three high. If you don't want that many they will give you one for 1/3 of the price. they have fresh-squeezed orange juice, and they leave the coffe pot at your table so you don't have to chase down the waiter<ress>. A+ rated by ME! reasonably priced too.....approx.$4.50 for 3 pancakes.

2. Stacks in Burlingame. This is an unofficial off-shoot of First Watch. I haven't eaten there yet but I have heard that there food and service is the same as First Watch. An A+ by proxy.

3. And of course we all know who makes the best muffins in the world, Suzzanes Muffins on University in Palo Alto. Trust me they are excellent. Kinda pricey for a muffin IMO but Excellent for sure!

Next time you venture onto the Peninsula or if you live nearby try these out and let me know if you agree.
