(extension of 13th) just N. of 101 It's all outside in a very old gas station building (from the 1930's) It used to be run by some church group (all black) They used to use 55 gal. drums, but noticed lately they have what looks like some high- tech silver smokers. You sit on outdoor tables, but most buy to go. Having lived here for 27 yrs. can tell you I agree with those recommending Vietnamese. The thing about Viet. food is it's generally very cheap, and they have an *extensive* menu. Korean BBQ is good, except it's expensive. I stay away from Armadillo Willys. There is a place called Texas BBQ in Brentwood, which I really like, but it's far from the SJBA. Notice I did not say SFBA, as the census bureau has changed it to SJBA due to SJ being the largest city in N. Ca. Dwarfs Oakland and SF. Eddie in San Jose, safest large city in the U.S.A.

I've lived in Brentwood for 2 years now. I Avoid that place like the plague. I'd just as soon buy a steak on clearance at Safeway and pan fry it on my stove. The food was sub-par, at best. ...that sucks. I asked if they had brisket and they not only don't serve it, they didn't even know what I meant. Texas, my ass!
