One of my favorite places in Amsterdam is Mr Cocos on Rembrandtsplein. It has a great happy hour and is a lot of fun. The food is pretty good too. BIG hamburgers and unlimited ribs to name a couple.

If you get a craving for Mexican food in Brussels, try Chi-Chi's out near the Atomium. Same chain as in the US. Otherwise, just go to Grand Place and pick a restaurant out. The beer is GREAT in Belgium! So many beers and so little time. Check out the bar with the coffins and skull beer mugs. I can't remember the name of the place but it is just off of the Grand Place. There is no shortage of good beer bars. Try the Morte Subite (sudden death).

The center of Antwerp is nicer than Brussels (imho). There are plenty of places to go.

Hope this helps.

If you are of a carnivorous bent, both the mixed grill equivalent and the steak with bleu cheese sauce are *wonderful* at a little walk-down place called Der Fles (which I think means "The Flask"). They also have a funky little loft area that is kinda neat whether you are sitting in it or looking up at it. The steaks taste like they are cooked over some hardwood combination akin to oak/mesquite, and the bleu cheese sauce is just strong enough to really tantalize the taste buds without overpowering the smokey flavor of the steaks.

Within walking distance of the Leidseplein and the Van Gogh museum, if memory serves, but ask first!
