I was very pleased with what I got, but I'm no barbeque expert. For $15.50, I got a half rack with two small sides and bread. The ribs were perfect, keeping their shape but very tender, almost falling off of the bones. The ribs themselves were very meaty and flavorful. There were 5 large ribs, about 7-8 inches long, and two small ones. There were no chunks of gristle or fat globs. I had two ribs, my roommate had two, and we have one long and two small left over. I could have eaten these ribs without sauce! They have a choice of 4 sauces--mustard, mild, original and hot. I got the original, and it was good. It was not sweet at all, but I could have used more spice. I will probably try the hot next time. For my sides I had greens and macaroni and cheese. The greens were wonderful--I found one little piece of bacon or fat back, which gave the greens some of that nice smoky flavor, but there was nothing greasy about them. They were nicely peppery. The macaroni was good--I just had a bite and gave the rest to my roommate. They have several other sides, including green beans. I really wanted to get cornbread, but I would have had to wait for it to come out of the oven. They sell all kinds of other things (hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken) and open at 11 am Monday-Friday, and 1 pm on Saturday. They close at 9 pm except for Friday and Saturday when they close at 11 pm. Soon they will start opening on Sundays. This is the site of the old House of Sauce (4704 Centre Avenue, near Neville busway ramp) with most of the old fixtures, now scrubbed to a shine. The place is very clean, as is the other place Kirk and his wife run, the former Dairy Queen. 412 802-7005 Service was a little bit slow, but I think that is the norm for barbeque places. I will definitely be back, and can't wait to try the corn bread. My one quibble is that the sides were very small, about half-cup servings, but larger sides are available. Overall, I think this place is terrific. Madelaine
