In North Carolina I am partial to The Old Hickory House on Tryon Street in Charlotte, and Joe's Barbecue in Shalotte near the coast. Also in the Charlotte area, Spoon's was pretty good, as a was a little place in Shelby (outside of Charlotte) whose name I can't remember at the moment. Barbecue is like romance. We may not all be interested in the same one, but we all agree that overall it's the best thing around. -Alex
