(Brooklyn Avenue exit off I-70, proceed south two blocks, it's on the left) IMHO, there's better in town; I've always been partial to Gates' and Sons' (1400 Swope Parkway (at The Paseo) and all over the suburbs); but even the most knowledgable KC barbecue aficionados agree to disagree on this question, as almost anyone's choice for "best barbecue in Kansas City" is certainly worth the trip, Bryant's included. > but it's so > well-known people actually fly in just to go there. Now, my own question, dug from the recesses of my past: I recall once going with my father to a very small, very nondescript, Mexican hole-in-the-wall somewhere in the general vicinity of 23rd St, Summit St and Southwest Boulevard (I think it was on the last of these), in the old Chicano district. I also recall the food here as being *very* good, and served sort- of home style. I do not recall that this place had a name. Does this sound familiar to anyone in/from the area? Did this place have a name? Or was I dreaming this? Thanks, ************************************************************************** Sandy F.
