We discovered Chuck's 4 months ago from postings in chi.eats and have eaten there a number of times. Chuck's specializes in BBQ and will do pulled pork, chicken or ribs for your party, they also have Brunswick stew and a great tasting gumbo. Chuck worked at Frontera Grill for two years and is a professional chef and more than capable of working up a menu to suit your needs. The prices are also quite reasonable. I was so impressed with Chuck's that we used them to cater our block party this year, 135 people. The food was great and we were very satisfied with the price, food, service and overall quality of Chuck's BBQ. The only problem with Chuck's is that they are located in Burbank, which is quite a trek from where we live. Maybe that is lucky or my cholesterol level would skyrocket from eating ribs two or three times a week. At a completely different price point we have also used and been pleased with J & L Catering. After approximately the same amount of research as I put into the purchase of our last automobile we ended up at Chuck's BBQ. Chucks BBQ was fantastic! The ribs were nicely smoked for 5-6 hours over hickory and the flavor was superb. Chuck includes some dried Mexican chilies in his sauce for a subtle undercurrent of spicy heat. He also has mild sauce available. Side dishes, made on the premises were excellent. Especially good was the soup of the day, chicken and sausage gumbo. Chucks has a special sandwich called, Chucks Special (innovative name) that uses a raja recipe straight from Frontera Grill. We did not order this, but Chuck gave us a little taste WOW. Chuck's also has daily lunch specials that sounded quite innovative. Chuck worked for Rick Bayless at Frontera for two years and it is reflected in the quality of his offerings. Chuck's is a great rib restaurant, clean, friendly and the quality of the food is outstanding. Chuck's has only been open 4 months and does not have a liquor license yet. I highly recommend Chuck's. Enjoy, Gary
