I was somewhat disappointed in my meal at Clem's. Their meat was great, as always, but I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and it was very skimpy on the meat. If they don't want to give you enough meat to fill the bun then they should use smaller buns! Or just put in more meat and charge more. I could barely taste the meat, all I could taste was bread. And sauce. I don't like them to put the sauce on for me because lots of places smother the meat with too much sauce. I like to be able to actually taste the meat! I'll have to make sure to ask for my sauce on the side next time. I've been there before several times but always had the ribs or chicken. I've learned my lesson about the sandwiches. Also, besides too much bread and not enough meat I didn't care for the type of roll they used. It was one of those chewy french-style breads that make it hard to get a bite without squeezing everything out the other end and the sides, etc. I'd rather have a good, old-fashioned soft hamburger-style bun that is easier to eat. The other thing was the garlic mashed potatoes. Don't get them - they really sucked. This was the first time I tried them and was sorry. No garlic taste to speak of and just nasty in general. My other complaint about Clem's is that they have the evil Pepsi instead of the true blue all-American Coke. Other than that I love Clem's. Next time I'll remember to take my own Coke and just get meat with sauce on the side. Now for the Mulberry St. Creamery. These people make an excellent product. I just wish they'd make more plain and simple flavors than all the fancy ones with chunks of crap in them. I really hate chunks of dough-like substance or nuts in my iced cream. So the first thing I saw when I walked in was the Key Lime flavor which sounds really yummy as it was a sort of "key lime" kinda day. Well, as luck would have it (they really should call it "Key Lime Pie"), it had chunks of graham cracker crust in it. Blecch! I ended up with mulberry chocolate chip and tropical fruit flavors. Very good but I really would have liked the Key Lime without the chunks. I put 120 miles on the car with that little food quest. But it was worth it.
