Try The Tack Room for the best Arizona has to offer. I have not been there for a few years but the service was tops and the food excellent. It is not a cheap date by any means.

Janos (expensive), Ovens, Cafe Terra Cotta, Kingfisher are all good places to eat. If you want authentic Mexican try: Mi Nidito.

Have fun,
Robert

If you want authentic and outstanding mexican food, skip the S. 4th Avenue crowd and go to La Ranherita on Prince. One of the few restaurants with calabasitas, Sonoran enchiladas, and fantastic flan (often 2 kinds). Great albondigas too! My wife and I practically lived there when we resided in Tucson, and now stop by for several meals everytime we're in Tucson. It's family run and has eight or so tables - it's the real thing!
