In Flagstaff there is a restaurant named EL CHARRO. To me it is excellent food, of course, I have not lived there in several years, but a few years ago it was great. All I remember as far as the location was that it is North of the University. I'm sure anyone up there will be able to give you directions. In teh page area, there is this great little restaurant called Zapata's. Also good mexican food, I do not recall at all where it was exactly located, but it was very good food. I hope this helps, In article , [email removed] (Sara Stortenbecker) wrote: > My husband and I will be travelling to the southwestern part of the US > later this spring. Well, I just graduated from NAU and can give you a couple of places that are worth trying. Flagstaff: yes, El Charro is good. It's in an old house on San Francisco St. about 1/4 mile north of NAU. San Fran St is easy to find as it's one of the main streets in Flag. One night my roommate and I went there and (i swear to God), they had a POLKA band playing!! Nothing like enjoying your enchiladas to OOM-PA-PA. It's kinda goofy like that, but it's good.. Anther place worth visiting is La Fonda. That's on 4th St, take the first left and it's on the corner about a block down. 4th St is another main road, so it's easy to find. Sedona: as far as food goes it's expensive, but here's a few::: La Oaxaca: Great Mexican food!! Nice to visit for breakfast if you get the chance. It's right on 89A as you enter the main touristy part of Sedona. real casual. Shegrues: Not Mexican. Maybe a Southwestern dish here or there, but it's great. The east location(there's a west one) has a BEAUTIFUL view of the rocks. Eat out on the patio if you can. Head down 89A past the bridge and it's on the left in a shopping center. Gotta look for it or you'll miss the sign. There are other places in the area that aren't what you asked for but are still good. If you'd like any more ideas, just e-mail me. :)Renee [email removed]

Wanted to get some recommendations for restaurants : in the following cities: : Sedona, Arizona Brad and I were in Sedona over Labor Day weekend, and we had the most wonderful lunch at L'Auberge resort. It is a wonderful french cottage looking resort, which has a dining area right on the edge of the creek which runs past. I had a salmon dish, Brad had a sausage/pasta dish, with a wonderful bottle of wine, all followed with Raspberry Creme Brulee. I adore that place! It is *not* cheap, but it is not terribly expensive, and IMO, it is well worth the price. I think, for the 4 of us, we got out for $81, but the other couple paid, so I don't quite remember. Anyway, you'll be glad you went there! Jennifer

The first time I was there, I was camping and too tired to cook or drive into town. Since then, everytime I've been back I've gone. I especially like their Navajo tacos. Mary in Seattle
