There is a Chinese restaurant in Phoenix which defies your skepticism of seafood in the dessert. It is called SeeFu and is in a strip mall on McClintock near Elliot a few blocks from ASU in Tempe. All the fish is live in tanks and you can select your favorite. The shrimp is outstanding. The rest of the menu (non-fish) is ordinary. The prices are reasonable. Gross is excellent, and the bistro is a more casual, cheaper version of the white-glove Christophers. Fresh fish, good veal/steak etc, great dessert. You won't be dissapointed.

Convenient to get to, at McDowell exit off Squaw Pk. fwy Steve's, on Central just N of what I think is now signed I-17 -- this is the older E-W fwy throughdowntown, S of what's presently signed I-10 -- a good "standard" Sonoran style place, very convenient to fwy near downtown/capitol. Happy eating! Cheers - Pete in Prescott
