My favorite Mex in the area is Los Olivos in Scottsdale.  I always go there when I am in town.  A suggestion for breakfast is The Eggery, several locations if memory serves.  Bon Appetit!

I can't recommend The Fish Market in Scottsdale enough.

1720 East Camelback Road, Phoenix,  telephone 602-277-3474 - be sure to eat upstairs.  First floor is full of scream kids - completely different atmosphere.  Absolutely wonderful menu.

Good spanish restaurant and tapa at a resort North of Scottsdale, can't remember the name.  Breakfast at Jaquelines if you like omelets in Old Town.
