Ted Williams is caught mid-swing in this frame, one of the contact sheet exposures that Bob Sandberg made for Look magazine's photo library in 1955. Williams was the Red Sox's dominant hitter through the 1950s, a left-handed batter whose eye at the plate made him one of the most studied hitters of his era.
