A turkey, a pumpkin and a cluster of small figures make up this Thanksgiving greeting card, a format that grew hugely popular in the United States in the early 1900s. Holiday postcards from that era often used bright color lithography, bold seasonal symbols and sentimental messages, and they were sent through the mail to friends and family who lived far away.
