This advertisement puts the Rolls-Royce name beside Hooper, the London coachbuilder that fitted bespoke bodies to Rolls-Royce chassis. Such pairings promoted the idea that a luxury motor car was a matter of both engineering and craftsmanship, with the carriage-making trade's skills carried over into the age of the automobile. Hooper had built horse-drawn carriages for well-off clients, so its move into motor bodywork shows how coachbuilders adapted to the new technology. Look closely at the cars shown, since the shape and finish of each body were meant to signal the buyer's taste and status.
